Flower of the Month
Grevillea sp.

Most grevilleas are nectar producers, but in general there is insufficient nectar density to create a honey flow. There may be a sufficient plant population between Rollingstone and Bluewater for a honey flow in a dry year. Hibridized versions are generally considered poor nectar producers for bees whereas non-hibridized versions are considered much better. Having said all that, my bees are showing a distinct upturn right now which i can only put down to the many grevillea that are out at the moment in my area.
